Inside this historic mercantile building in charming Dixon, you’ll find high quality fiber arts.  Owner and artist Irene Smith creates Appalachian-style baskets from reed and oak, and coiled miniatures from hand-gathered yucca, willow, and pine needles.  She alternates between her four looms, weaving traditional Río Grande pieces from wool, and complex patterned wearable art in cotton, silk, rayon, and other natural fibers.  Classes in basketry, weaving, spinning, and natural dyeing.
